Seamaster 813 – 27ft River Cruiser with Single Diesel Engine | Ideal First Boat
The Seamaster 813 is a popular 27ft river cruiser, built between 1972 and 1981 with over 400 produced. Designed for inland waterways, it features a stable medium-to-shallow V hull with a long keel for easy handling. Powered by a single diesel engine, it offers an economical and straightforward setup ideal for first-time boaters. The spacious interior includes a forward V-berth, a rare full-width shower and toilet compartment, plus a dinette and galley. Construction
White GRP moulded hull and topsides, non-slip decks, aluminium framed cabin windows and screen with toughened glass, stainless steel pulpit rail, hand rails and bathing ladder, aluminium gunwale fendering, stainless steel canopy frame and a blue fabric cockpit canopy. Hull was last antifouled in Winter 2025/2026.
Accommodation
The aft cockpit is easily accessible from the outside with matching helm's and co-pilot's seats, aft bench seating with LPG stowage lockers beneath, removable deck boards for access to the engine, calorifier and batteries. Steps lead down into the cabin with storage lockers and a fitted and fully equipped galley with sink, hot and cold taps, fridge and cooker to starboard, port side dinette that converts to a double berth with storage beneath the seating. Forward bulkhead with partition doors to form an enclosed, private washroom with manual sea toilet, wash basin with shower attachment and tray. The forward cabin area is is fitted with twin vee berths with storage beneath, forward locker and escape hatch/ window.
Engine
BMC 1.5 4 cylinder diesel engine coupled to a shaft drive. Single lever control, fuel, temperature, RPM and voltage gauges.
Equipment
Fire extinguishers, life ring, 2 x 4.5 kg butane gas bottles, solar panel, manual sea toilet, shower, Waeco 12v fridge, Flavel Vanessa LPG cooker, water tank gauge, hot water calorifier, Ardic cabin heater, anchor and chain, fenders and mooring ropes.
Electrics
12v – 1 x engine battery, 2 x leisure batteries, solar panel fridge, plug sockets, bilge pump, domestic water pump, navigation lights, cabin lights, horn.
240v – N/A - some 240v equipment onboard but not installed.
