Eiland Marken is a beautiful, original 1931 Luxe Motor, built by the renowned De Hoop (formerly Gebr. Boot) shipyard in Leiden, the Netherlands. The Boot brothers earned an outstanding reputation for their exceptional craftsmanship, and their vessels remain highly sought after today.
She was believed to have been built to carry Dairy or luxury products. She was later converted in the 50’s or 60’s to a water tanker to carry 40 tons of fresh water to supply larger boats. After crossing the North Sea to Cambridgeshire with her previous owner (a marine engineer/ boat builder), they began converting her from a water tanker to a home, completing the fit out to a very high standard using top quality durable materials. The current owners have cherished Eiland Marken as a unique home away from home, enjoying her charm, history, and craftsmanship. Having created many wonderful memories aboard, they have now decided it is time for her next chapter with new owners.
The sale also includes the tender boat, making this an even more complete and versatile package for exploring waterways or accessing the shore with ease.
