Freeman 27 ‘Leobel’

£10,500.00

‘Leobel’ is a twin petrol version of this popular river cruiser which maintains many of it’s original features. The boat recently had a survey which brought up a few items which need attention, which we are happy to discuss with potential buyers, hence a reduced price for a boat of this spec. We do not have access to this report as it was completed by an independent surveyor for a previous buyer. The cabin space benefits from new upholstery, and much of the original woodwork appears to be in good order – some areas would benefit from some finishing touches, which is more than achievable by a keen DIYer. We are open 7 days per week for viewings by appointment only please.
This boat is currently being stored out of the water.

Construction

Light brown GRP moulded hull and topsides, dark brown gunwale stripe, alloy and PVC fendering, stainless steel pulpit, hand rails, and canopy frame, alloy deck fittings, brown fabric  canopy, bathing platform. The hull (like many boats of its age) does have some osmosis. We’ve been informed that some of these blisters require  attention. We’ve already received quotes for this work, and the price reflects this.

Accommodation

A spacious aft cockpit with bench seating, pedestal mounted table, matching pedestal mounted helm and co-pilot seats all in cream vinyl, access hatches to the engine, gas and stowage lockers.
Doors (requiring repair) and steps lead to the cabin area with galley to starboard, dinette/double berth to port with stowage beneath the seating, cocktail cabinet mounted on the rear bulkhead, heads compartment to starboard in marble effect formica with a Thetford cassette toilet, vanity wash basin and shower attachment, hanging locker to port, twin vee berths with stowage beneath, shelves either side. The interior is fitted and lined with its original makori ply and is finished with cream vinyl head linings. All of the cushions in the cabin area have been reupholstered in recent years and remain in ‘like new’ condition. There are a few basic DIY tasks to be completed in the cabin area.

Engine

2 x Petrol Watermota Sea Tiger engines coupled to a shaft drive with a single lever control at the helm. Gauges include a rev counter, temperature and voltmeter. We have been advised that the starboard engine will require a new cutlass bearing, coupling and gearbox mounts in the near future - these repairs are reflected in the price.

Equipment

Shower, fridge, hot water calorifier (via engine or immersion heater), LPG Flavel Vanessa hob, grill and oven, Sterling battery charger, solar charge controller, solar panel, NASA Marine Speed Log and Depth Sounder, warm air diesel cabin heater, Thetford cassette toilet, 2 x 4.5kg butane gas bottles, fire extinguishers and blanket, fenders and ropes.

Electrics

12v - 4 x batteries, fridge, cabin and cockpit lighting, navigation lights, spotlight, horn, bilge pump, domestic water pump.
240v - Shore Power connection, consumer unit, plug sockets, battery charger.
