58′ Narrow Boat ‘Rosalyn K’

‘Roslayn K’ is a very pleasant, cruiser stern narrow boat with a large aft deck affording easy access to the engine and bilges. The current owners purchased her in 2020 and have carried out improvements including fitting a pram hood and new cooker. The vessel is now for sale as they have recently bought a wide beam, so please contact us to book an appointment to view her. We are open 7 days a week.

The shell was originally constructed by Peter Nicholls with a 10mm base plate, 6mm hull and cabin sides, and 4mm roof. The exterior paintwork is sound and we understand that the hull was re-blacked and new anodes fitted in January 2019, and re-blacked again in 2021. The roof was also re-painted in 2021 and a pram hood fitted in the same year. The interior is an owner fit-out using quality materials and completed to a good standard. The vessel was last surveyed in 2019 for the previous owner and we believe all recommendations have since been addressed.

There is access to the traditionally laid out accommodation from fore and aft decks. The forward cabin door leads via a set of steps with turned balustrades to the saloon with fitted corner shelves and storage, additional shelving and enclosed radiator, space for free standing furniture (a pair of matching easy chairs available), a dinette with seating for two and storage beneath. The walk through galley with half doors (removable secondary glazing panel) to starboard lies aft and comprises a range of base and wall units on both sides providing ample storage, laminate work tops, tiled splash back, acrylic sink and drainer with mixer tap, 4 ring LPG hob, built-in oven and microwave, separate under-counter fridge and freezer, vinyl flooring.
A corridor leads aft to a spacious bathroom with a corner shower unit with glazed door and screen, facility for an electric macerator toilet (currently removed from the boat, but can be re-instated), cassette toilet, wash basin with vanity unit beneath and cupboard above with shelving to the side and radiator.
The main cabin lies aft comprising a fixed double berth to port with pump-out tank, calorifier tank and storage beneath, overhead lockers with reading lights mounted underneath, book shelf opposite, enclosed radiator, further storage and equipment lockers aft, space for a compact washing machine, steps to a pair of recently refurbished aft doors and a sliding hatch leading to the aft deck.
The interior receives lots of natural light through eight hopper style rectangular windows and a pair of half doors. The galley and bathroom have laminate effect vinyl flooring, with green/blue carpet covering the living area floors. Blinds are fitted to the windows..
