50′ Cruiser Stern Narrow Boat ‘Phoenix’ £42,000ono

Description
Originally built in 1997 by K. Ward, ‘Phoenix’ has been well looked after by the current owner, including a complete repaint in 2013, which is still in excellent condition.  She is nicely fitted and well equipped, so ideal as a cruising or liveaboard vessel. A change in personal circumstances has led to ‘Phoenix’ being put up for sale. Please contact us to arrange a viewing.

Construction
Cruiser stern narrow boat of welded steel plate, bitumen painted hull, two-pack painted topsides in dark blue with red panels and cream coach lines, non-slip finish on gunwales, decks and roof. Anodised alloy-framed windows and port holes fitted with safety glass and a single side/half door. The interior is lined with pine boarding and tongue and groove, with solid wood edging battens and trim.
Based on surveyor’s original thickness gauge readings, the base plate, hull sides and topsides are respectively 8mm, 5mm and 2.5mm steel plate construction, welded to angle iron and box section frames.
The vessel suffered extensive fire damage in May 2000, was written off by the insurance underwriters, and the subsequent rebuild was overseen by a qualified marine surveyor. Copies of the surveyor’s reports from 2001 and 2005 are held in the vessel’s file and will be made available to interested parties when viewing the boat.

Accommodation
Double forward doors lead to the open plan saloon from the well deck, with a pair of armchairs, two bench seats on opposite sides, storage beneath and with a dining table that drops down to convert into a double berth. The galley is located on both sides and comprises a range of built in base units, laminate work top, stainless steel sink & drainer, tile upstand, cooker, fridge and a single half door on the starboard side. A corridor leads aft with a doorway to the bathroom with a fitted shower tray, thermostatic shower mixer tap, shower curtain, wash basin inset to a built in vanity unit, toilet, radiator and storage locker. The main cabin lies aft with a raised double bed, storage beneath, overhead locker, storage locker for the hot water cylinder and electrical systems, steps leading up to the aft deck via double steel doors and a steel sliding hatch.
The interior is finished with beige carpet in the saloon and cabin areas, wood effect vinyl in the galley and bathroom, and light pink and white striped curtains.  Hot water pipes run the entire length of the interior on the starboard side, providing supplementary heating in conjunction with radiators and the solid fuel stove.
